Hey there — happy Saturday! 😄
Welcome to The Weekend Whirlwind. As a reminder, TWW is a quick weekend email with a few thoughts or articles or tips to help you out. Or just stuff to share, which may not even be business related. Short, sweet, and to the point. 😉
THINGS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S WHIRLWIND:
THING 1 — Helpful link: Still in a 9-to-5 job but thinking about going out on your own? This article discusses some things to consider first.
THING 2 — Random fun fact: People used to say “prunes” instead of “cheese” when getting their pictures taken. The “prunes” command was used to help people achieve a more neutral, pursed-lip expression, which was more common in early photography since long exposure times were needed — making it difficult to hold a smile — plus serious expressions were more the style anyway. As photography became faster and more accessible, smiling became more common. The word “cheese” was found to naturally stretch the mouth into a smile.
THING 3 — TWW Quick Tip: Break down goals into the smallest steps possible. This ensures you don’t forget anything that needs to be done, and you can pick one or two quick tasks to do when you have limited time.
THING(S) 4:
~ Partner Freebie of the week: from Piggy Makes Bank, get their 7 Days to Beat Procrastination pack.
~ Partner Deal of the week: from Sage Grayson, get her Modern Mindfulness Meditations mini-course for just $7.
~ My Flash Sale for the weekend: get my Basic Stationery Kits for 30% off through Monday night.
THING 5 — TWW Wisdom: If it costs you your peace, it’s too expensive.
That’s it for this time — let me know what you think, and have a great weekend! 😎
