The Weekend Whirlwind #33

Hey there β€” happy Saturday! πŸ˜„

Welcome to The Weekend Whirlwind. As a reminder, TWW is a quick weekend email with a few thoughts or articles or tips to help you out. Or just stuff to share, which may not even be business related. Short, sweet, and to the point. πŸ˜‰

THINGS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S WHIRLWIND:

THING 1 β€” Helpful link: Need to speed up your website? Get this free mini-training on 3 non-techie ways to do that.

THING 2 β€” Random fun fact: The voice actors for Mickey and Minnie were married in real life. Wayne Allwine, who voiced Mickey Mouse from 1977 until his death in 2009, was married to Russi Taylor, who voiced Minnie Mouse from 1986 until her death in 2019. They married in 1991, several years after they began voicing Mickey and Minnie together.

THING 3 β€” TWW tips:Β Establishing boundaries can feel challenging, especially if you often prioritize others’ needs or aim for perfection in everything you do. However, setting boundaries is essential for protecting your time, energy, and well-being. Here is the fourth of five practical and empowering strategies to help you set boundaries with clarity and confidence:

Set Specific Limits β€” Define what’s acceptable and what’s not. For instance, if work feels overwhelming, establish clear work hours and stick to them. If social engagements drain your energy, limit your availability and communicate those boundaries in advance.

This is the 4th tip in the series of tips on establishing boundaries; check out the TWW Archives if you missed the last three weeks!

THING(S) 4:

~ Freebie of the week: from Christina at Passive Income Journeys, get her 9 Party Games Templates.

~ Deal of the week: from Tiffany at PLR Launch, get her 5-Day Video Marketing Crash Course for just $9.

THING 5 β€”Β TWW Book Club: New rotating feature!Β Let’s do another business book recommendation this week, as year-end and the new year are a time that many folks think about starting their own business.

The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It by Michael E. Gerber. From the Amazon sales page: “Gerber draws the vital, often overlooked distinction between working on your business and working in your business.”

This book is the most practical, no-BS book about how you should be running your business. It’s great for people who already have a business or people who want to start a business, and provides amazingly valuable information on how you should structure your business and how you want it to operate down the road along with a plan to get there. Excellent book!

That’s it for this time β€” let me know what you think, and have a great weekend! 😎
