Welcome to the 28th issue of The Weekend Whirlwind. As a reminder, TWW is a quick weekend email with a few thoughts or articles or tips to help you out. Or just stuff to share, which may not even be business related. Short, sweet, and to the point. 😉
THINGS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S WHIRLWIND:
THING 1 — Helpful link: If you’re a blogger or write articles on Medium, Substack, or other platforms, get ideas on how to find post ideas in this blog post (soooo meta).
THING 2 — Random fun fact: After movie studios declined, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” was instead financed by a combination of record labels and rock musicians, including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson, and Tony Smith, manager of Genesis.
THING 3 — TWW tips: Wanting to post more consistently on social media, without having that take up all your time? Repurpose your favorite posts. You’ve probably had some great posts that you thought really showed off your creativity and knowledge, and/or that had great engagement.
Start a “Repurposing Bank” (which can be a Google Sheet, Notion dashboard, Trello board, or whatever you use for that kind of information) and save a link to those final published posts to it. Then leverage the heck out of it!
You can turn each of those great posts into at least one other piece of content, if not more — a carousel, story, reel, YouTube video, or even an email, blog post, or podcast.
