Hey there — happy Saturday! 😄
Welcome to the 26th issue of The Weekend Whirlwind. As a reminder, TWW is a quick weekend email with a few thoughts or articles or tips to help you out. Or just stuff to share, which may not even be business related. Short, sweet, and to the point. 😉
THINGS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S WHIRLWIND:
THING 1 — Helpful link: Eat the frog? 10 minute rule? 1 minute rule? Thoughts on how to choose task management and productivity.
THING 2 — Random fun fact: IKEA is an acronym that stands for the initials of founder Ingvar Kamprad; Elmtaryd, the farm on which he grew up; and Agunnaryd, the nearby village.
THING 3 — TWW tips: Wanting to post more consistently on social media, without having that take up all your time? Try posting less often, but scheduling a few weeks ahead. You can take an hour or two over a few days to batch your efforts, depending on how many platforms you’re posting on.
So, one day maybe you make all the graphics for posting 3 times a week on Instagram and Pinterest, for 4 weeks. And another day, you schedule all those posts using the native schedulers or another program.
With just a little concentrated time, you’re done with your social media for 4 weeks, enough to keep your accounts active and interesting. You can always make additional posts if something specific comes up, but you’ll at least have stuff in the pipeline.
I’ve just started trying this out for my two main businesses, having just completed the first 3-week cycle (4 just seemed a bit too much) of scheduled postings and the second 3-week cycle of batching/scheduling, for 3x/week on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook. For scheduling, I’m currently using the free versions of Metricool for one business and Later for another one. It’s helpful knowing I don’t have to think about new posts constantly. But I’ll see how it goes, and adjust if needed.
THING(S) 4: By popular request, I’m adding a low-cost “deal of the week” to this section, and also keeping the weekly freebie. More options, more great products to check out! 😄
~ Freebie of the week: from Aimee at The Aimee K Agency, get her Lemony Daily Planner.
~ Deal of the week: from Linda at Creative PLR, get her Festive Christmas Delights for just $7.
THING 5 — TWW Wisdom: Education is overly expensive. Gladly pay for it anyway, because ignorance is even more expensive.
That’s it for this time — let me know what you think, and have a great weekend! 😎

Hey, just so you know, some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which means if you buy something after clicking on them, I could earn a couple of bucks for cat food. Me and my cats appreciate it. 😻
