Welcome to the 22nd issue of The Weekend Whirlwind. As a reminder, TWW is a quick weekend email with a few thoughts or articles or tips to help you out. Or just stuff to share, which may not even be business related. Short, sweet, and to the point. 😉
THINGS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S WHIRLWIND:
THING 1 — Helpful link: Have you tried being creatively productive? Read this blog post to see if the meandering route is better for you than the straight path.
THING 2 — Random fun fact: Walt Disney currently holds the most Academy Awards. Disney won 22 Oscars and received 4 special/honorary awards over the course of his career, and is still the most nominated at a grand total of 59 times (the amazing composer John Williams is second, with 54).
He also was nominated the most consecutive years, having received nominations 22 years in a row (from 1942 through 1963).
THING 3 — TWW tips: 10 Minute Tasks. Following on from the last two weeks (catch up in the Archives if you missed them), if you have 5-10 minutes to spare in between meetings or before dinner, here are a last few quick tasks you can take care of:
- set your goals for the day and week
- read a value-filled article
- update your calendar
- check on an email campaign
- begin drafting a future email campaign
- pick a piece of content and brainstorm 3-5 ways you can repurpose it

THING 5 — TWW Wisdom: Being envious is a toxin. Instead, take joy in the success of others and treat their success as your gain. Celebrating the success of others costs you nothing, and increases the happiness of everyone, including you.
