THING 2 — Random fun fact: There’s an island in New York called “Just Enough Room,” where there’s just enough room for a tree, a couple of shrubs, and a house on 3,300 square feet of ground.
THING 3 — TWW tips: Looking to outsource? Finding someone to outsource tasks to can be stressful, especially if you’ve never done it before. There are a few things you can avoid, to give you the best chance at finding a lasting partnership. (If you missed part one last week, you can catch up in the TWW Archives.)
The second thing to avoid is: Expecting an immediate miracle. Even the most exceptional virtual assistants need training on your systems, and time to learn how you work. You can’t bring someone on-board and expect them to know how you want things done right away. You should explain what you want done and generally how, and check in regularly. Make sure they know what’s expected, any limitations they need to work within, and give them feedback often.
